What Should I Wear to My Headshot?


For Men:

Stick with classic, professional attire. Solid-colored dress shirts (white, light blue, or gray) work well, with or without a blazer. Avoid busy patterns or loud colors—subtle textures photograph better. Bring a couple of options if you're unsure. If you normally wear facial hair, groom it neatly. Haircuts should be done 3–5 days in advance for a natural look.


For Women:

Choose solid colors that complement your skin tone—neutrals, soft blues, jewel tones, and earth tones work well. Avoid overly bright colors or bold patterns. A simple blouse or top with clean lines is ideal, and a blazer or jacket adds polish. Natural-looking makeup is best—think “you on your best day.” Hair should be styled neatly, and avoid anything too trendy or distracting.
